Emi Faloughi is a contemporary creative artist based in Lagos, of Ijaw, Yoruba and Lebanese heritage. She calls upon her lineage as inspiration for creativity as she explores the multi-faceted and diverse people and cultures across Nigeria.

She is a creative artist who transforms everyday functional items into unique objects of curious beauty and interest. She pulls on their historical, spiritual and cultural relevance while drawing on sustainability in practice through enabling and supporting local artisan development. She uses lighting as a medium to draw attention to intricate parts of design as a juxtaposition of ancient artistic practices with modernism. Her practice draws upon the concepts of reclamation and up-cycling materials.
